Title: A Woman Scorned
Fandom: The Goblin Emperor
Characters: Loran Duchenin
Word Count: 117
Rating: G
Summary: She feels a rage so strong she can barely think.

At first, Loran Duchenin feels nothing but a rage so strong she can barely think. Alone is her bedchamber, she shakes her fists until her arms ache (if she rages in a non-silent fashion her father will scold her). She is more beautiful than Dash'osmin Ceredin, more ladylike, and she has not harmed her ability to conceive by too much study.

She supposes Edrehasivar's choice of an empress is meant as an apology to the Ceredada for Varenechibel's relegation of Arbelan Drazharan. She understand the logic of that. She doesn't have to like it.

In public she mocks the Half-Tongue Emperor. In private, she and her father make new plans for what family she shall marry into.

Title: Agent Underwood
Fandom: Agent Carter
Characters: Peggy Carter, Dottie Underwood
Word Count: 102
Rating: G
Summary: "Don't you recognize me?"

"Don't you recognize me?" says Dottie.

Of course Peggy recognizes her. She was far too memorable to forget. "Yes," she answers. "I wasn't expecting you to appear at SHIELD, that's all. Would you like to come inside?"

Dottie sits on the other side of Peggy's desk. "Why are you here?"

"I want to help you."

"How?"

"This is an intelligence agency. I am a spy."

Peggy thinks it over. "Do you still have contacts in Russia?"

"Yes, and in a number of other countries as well."

"All right," says Peggy. "I suppose we can try it," with an emphasis on try.

Title: Ferndell
Fandom: Enola Holmes - Nancy Springer
Characters: Enola Holmes/Cecily Alistair
Word Count: 130
Rating: G
Summary: Cecily visits Enola.

The Viennese alienist, Cecily tells Enola, said that the problem of a dual personality can best be solved by allowing the two halves to merge together.

Enola decides to help by teaching Cecily how to ride a bicycle. The two friends explore the country around Ferndell together, bringing their sketchbooks on their outings. Cecily draws each flower she finds with her left hand, there being no one around to force her otherwise, and Enola explains the symbolism behind them.

When evening falls, the girls retreat to Ferndell's library. The Holmes brothers have no silly ideas about improper reading for young ladies, so they are free to indulge themselves in art, sciences, and politics. Cecily not only feels herself merging together, she finds herself growing more and more attached to Enola.
