I can't believe I'm going back

so i'm going to visit the aliens. i'm going to study in their schools. i'm going to not only eat their food, but learn to make it. i'll coddle the newborn. the pointed questions i ask will grow fewer and fewer as the weeks drag on

i understand its a great experience in a beautiful unique place, that's why i'm going. but it is still a place that makes me uncomfortable because everyone wants me to become one of them. that creeps me out.

i always interpreted that as just being friendly and welcoming. i dunno. israelis are strange people, but i love them anyway...

you're not wrong. also remember that i mostly don't deal with normal israelis. i'm talking about the religious institutions at aish hatorah and other people i met who have a specific job to try to make people a part of the larger jewish community
