I watched The Dark Knight on the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it, except there is one major point they made which is irritating me. The character of The Joker claims to be an agent of chaos. I've seen vendetta and read it too. That's about creating a revolution when things get really bad, it imagines a dystopian future and reminds us that we've lost our revolutionary spirit, it's still far removed from the principles of anarchism ( ... )

There is a clear distinction between anarchy and anarchism. Anarchism is a movement that has moved well beyond that definition and has dozens of schools of thought. The joker and V are both clearly anarchists for opposing reasons ( ... )
