thank you. its been a while. i just read your post. its good to hear that you're working a place you like now. and more professional too.
i'm sadly not coming to toronto during christmas break as I'm heading to New Orleans. So you'll have to wait a few months to catch up properly.
you must start writing again. you're really good. I'm submitting a poem for publication this weekend; my first time doing so. a nerve pinching experience.
hope all is well on your end. send me an email if you want to catch up properly. i'd love to hear whats going on
i could have guessed you'd be heading there again heh.
i'm still trying to work out my thoughts on the book i want to write. i have my main idea but i really need to work it and finalize it. i know this can happen through the process of writing, but i'd rather be confident with a full idea first, then change and critique where it needs it. it's an intense story so it has to be perfect. plus a lot of research should be done before hand anyway and fuck if i have time for that right now (though what i'm studying helps a lot anyway!)
that's really great on the publication. good luck! i'm sure you have nothing to worry about heh
If you don't have time to work on it, then thats legit. but I would like to strongly dissuade you from waiting until you have worked out all the details before you begin writing it. I have tried that method before and while I was happy that I had constructed it so carefully beforehand; knew all the characters like my best friends, it still didn't pay off in the end. My story changed so many times when I was in the process of writing it and I was forced sometimes to abandon old plotlines and sometimes even drop a whole scene that I loved. Thats always heartbreaking.
So wait until you can find the time to write. but I don't suggest you wait until you've figured it all out to write. You've just gotta start it, you can't conceptualize a whole book in your head even if you tried. There will be things missing and again, so many things you try to work out in your head simply won't work in the final structure of the story, so don't be tinkering with details yet.

this baby is a world away. i wont see her for a long long time. by the time I do get to meet her, there will likely be a few more babies.
