I hate them so hard. They're loud, they take up all the space, they make it hard to leave or get into the building, they're filming right outside my window... all-in-all, they suck. They suck hard.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but Yue's family owns a doll museum in Tokyo, as well as a couple of doll shops. These are some pretty insane dolls, too. I'll post a link to the site below... check out the gallery, I think it's pretty cool.

Last Friday I picked up the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds B-Sides and Rarities 3-disc set, which I've been listening to ever since. I've definitely become a huge Nick Cave fan as of late. His music just seems to resonate with me at this point in my life. Plus, it's just genuinely good. ;-)

It was a pretty quiet night at the Einstein's for some reason... not too many people showed up. On the upside, one of the people who did show up was Yue. She's a pretty cool girl, insofar as I can tell. So, I just called Yue (man, to this day I am *terrible* at calling people I don't know very well; I don't know why, but it just freaks me out), and she's planning on coming to the Einstein's tomorrow. Saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith today with Isabelle and Peter. It was actually a lot better than I had anticipated... but, best of all, it had Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros singing "Mondo Bongo" on it. And not just once---three times! Woo!

Other than that, I just watched anime, but GC hates hearing about it, so that's all I say about that.

I almost forgot, I saw Miyazaki's newest film, "Howl's Moving Castle", on Friday. Man was that great. That dude puts Disney to shame (although in fairness to Disney, they know it; they're the ones who release his movies over here). The thing you have to love about Miyazaki is, his films are great even for people who aren't normally fans of anime. ( Read more... )
