If you ask someone that question, I would hope that you have things you want to show and share with someone.
Otherwise, the statement is pretty pointless.

It's all about learning.
Perspectives.
Etc.

the thing is, more and more I'm convinced we can't share and that what we communicate when we speak isn't what we think we are saying...

I expect I could share the same experience with you- same place, same time, etc. and have an entirely different experience perception & understanding

so again really, can we share?

If I thought that way, I would have given up on life long ago.

If we can't communicate, this whole race is DOOOMED!

that's a bit melodramatic isn't it?

I expect we can communicate concrete needs in term of action and functional tasks... just not experience.

Well, I quite agree that while we assume we're seeing the same world, we really have no way of knowing- and often, demonstrably, we are not.
We can try, however, and sometimes, we do have that hermetic moment of perfect understanding- it can't be sustained, or forced, but it does happen, sometimes, that we sometimes, just-for-a-moment 'get it'.
And isn't it delightful when it does work? How sweet and exciting when you really do understand what someone is saying, or seeing. Why not try? I mean, the world isn't going to change much either way, but it's kinda cool when it works.

laLA!
