that conversation bothered me, but i don't feel like writing my opinions out. it probably has to do with where you live too - i've never seen anyone come into either store i've worked in with an EBT card.

Congratulations, you're a complete fucking ignoramus!! You know, people can have jobs, have kids, then LOSE their jobs. Yes, white kid from Kentucky, sometimes in the world, shitty things happen to people. Also, you know, condoms DO fail. And thanks to your precious Bush administration, in lots of places it's started becoming mighty difficult to get the abortion you so nonchalantly suggest. (Also, since you don't have a uterus, you have no right to suggest that to anyone except your own girlfriend, if you even have one.) I admit that many people make stupid decisions, and of course there are lazy people who get aid from the government, but that's not always the case and it's pretty fucking bigoted to assume that everyone who's poor and also has children is a "brainless, jobless, good for nothing retard." In this country, lots of people work full time and STILL can't afford to support themselves because the minimum wages in America are never enough to live on, not that you would comprehend that. Oh, and one more thing before I end up forgetting I ever wrote this comment, do you HONESTLY presume that you know how intelligent or unintelligent WIC recipients' children are? I don't think anyone in their right mind would assume that they know anything about a child by how they act in the line at a goddamn grocery store. And saying that their babies develop slower just because they're poor? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. That's why people are fucking on WIC in the first place, so that they can get healthy food for their kids, since for some odd reason, it's the healthy food that's too expensive for low income people to afford. Wake the fuck up, man.

Hahaha, thanks for the laugh. I'll go ahead take this one right from the top. First and foremost, I am in no way a "privileged southern white boy"...well aside of the white boy part. My parents worked their asses off to get everything that they have...my 53 year old mother works a shitty factory job, yet we live in a nice house, in a nice neighborhood. And everything I own (i.e. my car, this computer, and my personal possessions) I bought with MY money, from MY job. I definitely wasn't born with everything handed to me...thats "pretty fucking bigoted" to assume that. Second, There is a simple solution to the loss-of-job problem...it's called unemployment...you know, that OTHER government organization that actually serves a pupose and temporarily supports people while they actually try to find a job, which many of the people I mentioned don't bother to do. Next...condoms DO fail, but as I said, there are other solutions rather than trying to care for a baby that you apparently CAN'T care for. And the fact that Bush is against abortion ( ... )

This is all I'm going to write before I give up on your backwards southern attitude. Dude, I don't give a shit what happened to your parents. Seriously. Right after saying youre "not priveleged," you go on to state that you live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood. That speaks for itself. My parents used to be poor, now they work 50 hour weeks and we live in a really nice house, and I consider myself extremely priveleged. That seems to be your case as well, except I can find it in myself to have some respect for people who aren't as lucky as I am, which seems to be impossible for you. Also, how are you in favor of giving people unemployment money, but not money for food for their kids? It seems like you'd rather take your anger out on these people's kids then on the parents themselves. Unemployment only lasts a certain amount of time, so it's not like anyone can live on unemployment benefits indefinitely. Well throwing in the shit that happened with my family just seemed to run parallel with the shit you said about "shitty things happening to people". And my definition of a "nice house in a nice neighborhood" probably doesn't even come close to todays standard of "nice living", but I can at least say that it's not TOO bad without thinking that I am a priveleged child, which again, I am not. But yeah, I have respect for people who aren't as lucky as I am, if you can call my situation lucky...but I DO NOT have respect for people who put it on themselves and won't do shit about it. And about the whole unemployment thing, I am POSITIVE that I mentioned that it was temporary, WHILE YOU FIND A FUKING JOB, which many people won't bother to do in that period of time that they are mooching off of the government...unemployment and WIC are two totally different things.
