2. Hmmmm *pokes around fics* Oh, this one was very intriguing:
Just as the word was 'spoken' a form flashed into existence in front of him, startling Optimus once again. Standing before him was. . .himself. A complete replica, a reflection in a mirror. There was one drastic difference; the form before him was stone cold gray and worn with decay and time. It was his own terminated frame.

2. There's a lot surrounding that paragraph I could say. part of it was inspired(?) from the `86 movie & Return of Optimus Prime. Mostly it's my own fasination, if that's what you wanna call it, with the internal struggles/turmoil that Prime has to go through as his postion as leader (that's mostly imo). That and the Matrix itself.
In reality, obviously, what Prime seeing is part dream/fabrication from his mind and (spoiler!) Nighthaunt screwing around with Prime's head in some form of sadistic enjoyment. "Destory the mind; destory the body."
Basically, I like seeing character's (not nessecarly Op) going through extreme horrors, how they deal with it, and the ending...though not always with a full happy ending.
