Lunch ideas

Marcos is going to be working 10 hour days, 1 hour lunch. With plenty of breaks (thankfully). So we will be stocking up at Sams on Gatoraid but I need some lunch ideas to keep him going through the day and fuled (he's a welder). I'm mostly going to do sandwiches (on good hefty wheat) as a knife and fork when you're full of dirt and debris isn't fun ( Read more... )

Fruit salad yes... I want something that won't be too slimy. I hate slimy fruit salad... don't ask...

Hmm, ok how about like trail mix, fruit snacks, granola bars, any sort of deli meat? Turkey, ham?

He is the lunch meat king! Yeah the last time he had chocolate he got sick and we missed Magdalena13's birthday party.

Poor guy! you know they have all sorts of those '100 calorie' snacks that are pretty good? And they have those pringles singles.

I know! YUM man. I'm trying to do healthy I'm sure I can find some somewhat healthy recipes for desserts that are in bar form... fingers crossed lol.

One of our faves in lunch rotation has been roasted veggies (we use zucchini, mushrooms, onions, and red peppers, seasoned with oregano, garlic and basil) on any kind of super crusty bread with butter/margarine and feta/goat cheese/parmesan crumbled over the whole thing. Roasted roma tomatoes, mayo and a spread of pesto don't hurt either. ;)
