I had to watch it in Italian - I rented it (I live in Rome) and thought the DVD would come with an English or French track. It didn't.

That said, I think it was a good movie. Would have been better if I spoke Italian better, as dialogue is the best part of Almodovar. I saw Bad Education in French (well, Spanish with French subtitles) ; I think it may just be his best. AAMM was good, too, but nowhere near my favorites. (BE, WOTVOANB, TTH) Maybe around Tie Me Up!

I still haven't seen Bad Education, which annoys me incredibly. I have another year or more until I can rent it for myself - I'm very angry about losing my opportunity to see it in a theatre. Other than that I've only seen Hable con ella and Todo sobre mi madre. So far those are the only two I've been able to rent - both Blockbusters near me have rather limited foreign selections, and Netflix is above my budget, unfortunately. I do want to see Atame and especially Women on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown. Perhaps if I start looking in other sections - some foreign films are put in with the usual American ones. It's for Almodovar that I'm trying to become as fluent as possible in Spanish. My French is very bad and my Italian is nonexistent, except for the only Italian words Ingrid Bergman said she knew when she wrote to Roberto Rossellini: "Ti amo."

oh, chihiro! my brother showed me that movie (spirited away is the english title, right? in norwegian it's called chihiro & the witches (except in norwegian, obviously...)), it's so adorable. i really loved it ^_^
