The two characters in Shakespeare most often quoted seem to be Malvolio from Twelfth Night and Polonius from Hamlet: "Some men are born great," etc and "This above all: to thine own self be true" - lines taken as advice to live by - and both said by some of the biggest hypocrites in literature.
Franz Ferdinand is, on second thought, my second favorite band still together--they're infinitesmally passed by Gogol Bordello. And then the Beatles and the Kinks were the greatest ever.
Yay! Franz Ferdinand is neat! I like Alex Kapranos, one of his old bands, the karelia, they had neat lyrics too. "Why do we aspire to be what we need not be, all that we need is to never need more than to be" Tim Reuter thinks that sounds like a communist thing to say. But yay for liking Franz Ferdinand! And actually paying attention to them.
see, just by the title iw as like, hmmm, because most male bands sing about women.. The Allman Brothers, Jessica and Melissa, Tommy Tutone - Jenny, etc etc. yet here is an all male band singing about Michael. But then theres Jaquline.

Oh, wait, was the "guess" thing rhetorical?
I love it when lyrics aren't heeded, i.e., Born in the USA interpreted as patriotic. That's the funniest thing ever.
