I was too busy still being angry that Michelle Yeoh's character was effectively neutered in The World Is Not Enough by the convention that the female lead must always fall in love with James Bond. By the time this one came out, I was too busy being entertained by the references to earlier Bond films. Die Another Dayalso had one of the weakest theme songs on record for my money. Then Chris Cornell brought it back and killed it with the theme to Casino Royale.
For my money, nothing was as great as the opening song and credits sequence from Golden Eye, which seemed to hold me in its arms and say "That's all right. We'll forget the Dalton years ever existed."
