When she was small and she would break in goosebumps for no apparent reason, her father would tell her that's a ghost walking on your grave. A rather creepy notion to share with a child with such a vivid imagination as hers. Now that she's grown she knows that there are no such thinks as ghosts (mostly) and the idea of a grave for her, well, that's an unconventional notion as well. So when her skin breaks to goosebumps she knows it's not a ghost walking on her grave, she knows it's Logan at her door. Delicious ( ... )

There's something strangely nice and warm about her being so happy to see him. He'd deny ever needing to feel that way - true in that he doesn't really need it, but it feels good all the same. He lets her touch him before his hands find her arms, lingering on her wrists before his fingers tangle with hers. One hand lets go when she steps back; the other clings, grabs, gently as he stays where he is. His mind is made up.

"Thought I'd take you out t' dinner." He tries to make it sound like the simplest thing in the world, like they do this all the time. As long as it doesn't turn into a big thing, he'll be fine. Truth be told, he knows he's no good at dates, and he hopes he doesn't disappoint her. But there'll be food, and there'll be them, and he's certain he can behave enough not to beat the living daylights out of anyone. He can do normal. Sure he can. What could possibly go wrong?

Take me out to dinner. Her smile grows as she looks at him, perhaps he's speaking in some other language that she doesn't understand. Which is actually unlikely because she's lived a lot of places and is fluent in several languages. But this going out to dinner, well this is just - new. "I think that sounds incredible, I'm starving," she kneads her hands into his flanks. Starving for him? Always. Though, she's actually hungry as well.

"Just let me get my coat," and shoes, and okay, maybe a skirt because while the shirt she's been lounging around and reading in is longer than some dresses, it's not a dress. Returning to the door after leaving him lingering to watch her dress, she smiles and kisses him with a definite bite to his lower lip. "Some place with meat?"

He leans against the doorframe as she gets dressed, getting as good a look as he can from there. If she's starving for him, he's looking pretty hungry, too. Almost, he reconsiders his idea of taking her out - maybe after..? - but he's said what he's said, and he will stick with it. Her enthusiasm is making him feel better about the whole deal, anyway. It won't be so bad.

Kissing back eagerly, he exhales sharply at her bite, then smirks. "You got it." Her idea works for him, and it's not like he had any plans himself. Thinking about it now, an idea comes to him, too, and he asks her as he puts an arm around her: "You OK for a walk?" It's not that far - not by his standards - but he wants her to be happy, especially now. It makes him feel good.
