i fucking love the b-boys. for some reason there's a lot of sub-subcultures that seem to talk about unity and praise it and even talk about "bringing it back" but for some reason these kids that love dance and hip-hop have more unity than everyone else. and they thrive on it. they compete against each other and yet still have the most complete ( Read more... )

Please. What do you think you can just become part of something because you think another 'scene' has more unity then yours?

i'm not sure why i even feel like i have to defend myself here considering you've left this comment anonymously, which says something already about you, but i feel like i am part of something. the remains of some form of "scene" that's changed over years by trend and from some of the people i know, it used to be a lot different. and some even talk about that word "unity" and talk about all the good bands they've seen and it's something i didn't get to see. you made it seem like i want to compete for who has more unity. all i was saying was that i love the b-boys, i'm friends with them and what they do is awesome.

as for your el-p quote-- i'm not feeling nostalgic, i just have the urge to make a change because i wouldn't mind seeing a scene that i'm involved in flourish with a social respect.

so fuck off.
