I passed my Big Scary Comprehensive exam on Wednesday. In this exam, you learn something outside your research area and give a talk about it, then three professors ask you questions about the talk and about anything else they want. I got flustered early and made a lot of dumb mistakes I shouldn't have, even though I've been practicing doing

The huckleberries didn't come from anywhere around here (though I have found about five at a time in Rocky Mountain NP). She picked them when she was visiting family in Washington. (See my cousin's comment below *g*)
