Just wanted to say that, if comments on the interwebs (twitter, YT, ONTD) are anything to go by, a lot of us are feeling the same way. Worried in the main, a tad disappointed that he'd be such a muppet.
And then there's that disconnect in your head when you realise you're worried about someone you don't really know.
I know exactly how you feel. Read the news, was stunned that he'd be such a reckless muppet, relieved that nothing more serious occurred. Hope it's not indicative of anything more serious than asinine judgement. Have since have wasted brain cells trying to decide wether I ought to comment on Buckshot (which some people have done.)
Heh, I've been trying to decide that, too. Haven't really decided yet, though. I don't quite know what I'd even want to say, and the whole thing is making me very aware of how utterly huge the divide is between this guy and me, you know? I feel particularly pathetic and fannish.
In my case, part of the reason I feel like this is that this happened at the tail end of the week when I found myself grieving (lightly, fannishly maybe, but grieving nonetheless) for Nathan.
And that came off a post I was trying to construct (it remains half written under privacy lock) about why Heroes failed as a show. I was thinking about the lack of planning in terms of The Company the lack of a coherent back-story/the original start of it all (which I had guessed had come out of WWII) if you will and a lack of coherent rules in regards to a heroes powers
( ... )
*hugs* I really, really hear you. I did end up commenting stupidly on his YouTube, I'm afraid. And, yeah, the show... well, I won't even get started on that...
I immediately googled, and I'm shocked (he doesn't seem the type to do something so stupid) and worried (is more going on that just a moment of stupendously bad judgment?).
But the main reason I commented is that I noticed that a lot of the news coverage is using pictures of him with the Big Scary Beard. As I recall, he only had that beard for a couple of months, only grew it because of filming, and it was like two years ago. So I suspect that the "news" sources in question are deliberately seeking out unflattering images that make him look weird, disturbed, and dangerous.
The beard also is his feature I think that most looks Iranian (his father, I believe, is from Iran.) So, do with that what you will.
Though he has, in fact, grown it out a few times since that time for the show, and I don't know if he's got it now but since he left the show he had quite a bit of scruff going on.

So, he read your comment. *Grin*
I'd really like to hope that in some small way disembodied words on the web do/have help.
