considering there are other SEC teams with extremely close losses on the year, i understand very much the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.
remember that it is all about recruiting...while unfortunately florida will likely again be a juggernaut next year, carolina's entire offensive line is undersized and underclassmen, so they will have another year of experience, as will sidney rice, opening the door for skill players and so forth for spurrier to pull away from that orange and purple school.
just a thought. maybe alabama and carolina will meet in the SEC title game :)
we're the masters of extremely close losses. if you do the math (the exact elements of which i forget), if carolina had had 6 plays go differently this year, we could be 9-1. if someone's going to fall through in the clutch, it's carolina, but we wouldn't know how to act if it was any other way.
you're right... florida will probably be the team we still love to hate next year, and i especially hate that jarvis moss got suspended this week instead of last week. i fully agree with your point on recruiting, too. i make that argument to all of the complainers here in columbia. we'll have our day. at least we're keeping sidney for one more year, even if we're losing syvelle.
as far as alabama and carolina meeting for the title... let's give it a few years, but i'm not giving up hope!
