Don't knock 80s music. It provided a lot of joy and is managed to be great enough to not be overshadowed by the musical perfection acheived in the 70s by Queen.

No, the 80s were great for fashion because people were totally accepting, of everything. You could basically dress anyway you wanted. In that way, it was a largely accepting generation.
