I don't really have a whole lot of new and exciting information, but I figured I should just get back in the habit of blogging. Right now I'm watching Prometheus and chilling out a little while Sunny works and the kids clean up their crap a little. I haven't played around with geocaching in years. It hadn't occurred to me that I might actually be able to do it with the navigation apps on my phone.

My own first GPS was a TomTom, and that was already beyond the point where handheld GPSes let you put in coordinates. It could show them on an info screen that was a few taps away, but the old-style GPSes did better for this sort of thing.

I think you're right that moving Madison to another high school at this point would be massively disruptive, and likely disastrous.

Smart phones have some pretty good GeoCaching Apps these days. I personally just use a free one called Blackstar (which might just be for Blackberry). It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but you can add a cache, track it and use the coordinates to search geocaching.doc for the closest caches to where you are. It's definitely a cheap and easy way to have a good time outside ( ... )
