(no subject)
I just have to say this to someone who also watched the season finale before I explode.
The scene in which Jimmy and Joanie are standing outside talking about leaving and Jimmy finally decides to go -- the family piles into the car, I think Tommy then walks off to go call Jenny, and Joey just kinda stands there unsure of what to do. I thought the whole time, "Oh, no, they can't leave him alone!" Tommy comes back and starts toward the van and then turns around and says to Joey, "You coming?"
And oh, my God. The look on Joey's face! I can't recall too clearly whether or not it looked/sounded as if he was choking up, but I do remember the absolute joy and relief that washed over him when Tommy asked. It just really touched me and I had to squee about it "out loud" to someone. I wanted to glomp Joey so hard in that scene.
