My name is Takaki Yuya, and I am in my 3rd year of High School now. As a normal high school student of course I am doing a routine like studying, playing with my buddies, doing sport and so on. I am a basketball player and quite famous. I am not boasting around okay… because I got at least 5 confession each day. My buddies here, Yabu Kouta and Yaotome Hikaru always tell me to accept one of those confessions but I always just shrug it off. It’s not that I don’t like girls, well of course I like girl. What do you think I am? It’s just… well, I like this one girl. She is from the 2nd year in this high school. Her name is Arioka Daiki, and her best friend who is happened to be Yabu’s girlfriend Inoo Kei always call her dai-chan. Kawai no namae wa deshou….
I know all of you want to know where, what happen and why I could fall in love with her, right? Maybe all of you think that I know her from Inoo-chan, but nope… Inoo-chan never brought her to our basketball practice or when we are hangs out together. I know her because an incident that happened in one miracle day. Okay I am a little bit excessive here, but I don’t care. I call it miracle day because that day I met someone whom I really love.
Well it was on Sunday morning when my buddies and I were practice basketball in the school field. I threw the ball to the ring but it missed and bounced back, but I couldn’t catch it. The ball flew and it landed perfectly on someone’s head, I mean a girl’s head. I did remember that I warned her when she walked beside the field, but maybe it was too late. She already fainted and I watched Inoo-chan run to her. Me, Yabu and Hikaru also run to the side of the field to look for her.
“Bakaki…what are you doing to my best friend??? Why can you throw the ball properly?? Okay this is Inoo-chan who suddenly gets angry to me.
Kei…this is not Takaki’s fault okay. You see he throw the ball to the ring right?” Yabu tried his best to be a wise boyfriend.
“But kou…”
“Oi Bakaki said something…” Yabu yelled to me.
“Ohh…what did you say Yabu?” I snap out from my daydreaming. I didn’t listen to them at all and it is not my fault, that was the first time I see a beautiful girl indeed. My heart went doki-doki for the first time I see her face.
“Anou…guys, why don’t we bring her to infirmary first! Oi…Yabu, help me here” Hikaru suggested.
“Bakaki…I will surely kill you if something happen to dai-chan!” Kei threaten me as we brought her to infirmary. And that was the time when I know her name.
Thanks god she didn’t get a bad injured because of the ball. If something really happened to her, maybe I won’t walk my way to school right now because surely, Inoo-chan will kill me and maybe I will kill myself instead.

Every day goes with me stalking her. I’m not a stalker of course, but I don’t know why every time I want to talk to her, there was something happened. Like a week after basketball incident, I saw Dai-chan in the school cafeteria with Inoo-chan and unconsciously I walk close to her and left Yabu and Hikaru behind. I saw her gazing at me. I felt really happy and didn’t see my surrounding. I bumped into Yamada Ryosuke, he brought a strawberry parfait and the sauce is staining my uniform. This buta is wailing like that is the last parfait in this world and I have to buy him another parfait so he will stop wailing. She saw it, and she laughed with Kei. That time I really wanted the ground torn into two and swallow me up.
Then another day, when we playing basketball in the field. I saw her on the field’s side to accompany Inoo-chan to watch Yabu. I end up bump into ring post. Again, I saw her laughed out loud because of my stupidity. I didn’t have a face to meet her again. I really felt embarrassed. After that, I don’t have any courage to get near to her and only watching her from a far.

“Ne…Bakaki, when will you confess to Dai-chan?” Hikaru ask me when we have a practice for the school tournament.
“Wh...What? why…”I choked because of his question.
“Do you mean why Hikaru know?” this time Yabu join the conversation.
“You are very obvious Bakaki…” he said then.
“I don’t know…she seems not really care about me. She always laughed at my stupidity.” I whispered the last sentence.
“Because you are indeed stupid…who will bump into Yamada Ryosuke and also bump into ring post if it is not you.” Okay, now they also laughed at my stupidity as well.
“Ahh…I have an idea. Tomorrow is our match right? Why don’t you confess to her after it. Kei-chan told me that she and Dai-chan will come to see the match.” Yabu suggested and I think it’s a good idea too. So I decided I will confess to her tomorrow.

The match went smoothly and this is the last few minutes. I try my best to throw the ball in the last minutes. The audience went silent and I see her also do the same praying and hoping our school will win.
The ball gets into the ring and our school wins this match. Every player in our team run to the field and give me a hug. I watch her go to the outside hall, I feel frustrated, I want to go to her but I can’t. They block my way. I keep my eyes on her and she look at me as well. She makes a gesture that she will wait for me outside. I feel happy. I go with the crowd. We celebrate our school victory in the field.

Now, I wait for her in the hall park. I nervously sit on the bench and keep looking around so I will know when she comes.
Oh my god, she comes. My heart went doki-doki and maybe it will jump out of my body. I stand from my seat and face her.
“Hi…Takaki-san.”
“Hi Arioka-san.”
“Yabu-kun told me that you want to talk something to me. May I know what it is?” Oh no…she ask about it. Cursed Yabu and his big mouth. I will surely kill him.
“Anou….” I scratch my head.
“Yes…”
“Anou….Arioka-san Ireallylikeyou,willyougooutwithme?” I am panting because I said those sentence with one go.
She chuckled…Oh, she laughed at my stupidity again. I know this is the end of my world.
“Yabai…what did I say. We just know each other for few weeks but I already ask you this kind of question. Gomen ne…” I walk away. If I could I will bury myself too.
“Wait Takaki-san” I stop myself.
“well… I don’t really know you, but you seem like a good person. And Kei-chan also told me that you are a good person too. You also funny. Maybe…ummm…I want to go out with you…”
“Oh okay…. It’s really okay.” I walk again until I reach the gate. But wait…did she just tell me that she wants to go out with me? Hahhh….I suddenly turn myself and run back to her.
BRUKKK….
“Huaaa….my strawberry milk....BAKAKI give me my milk…Huaaaa….”
Uh…why do I have to bump into him again…
“Anou…Yama-chan, I will surely give you another one. But not this time okay…I have an important business right now.” I want to run again but…
“No…I want my milk right now… you go with me..” He drags me to the conbini.
“Dai-channnnn….tasukete yo…” I yelled at my girlfriend.
“Ne…Bakaki, go to the usual café when you’re done with him okay….” Said Yabu when he, Inoo, my Dai-chan and Hikaru go to the hall gate.
