The alarm rang three times. Then a hand with long beautiful fingers pressed the button so it can stop. A man opened his eyes and stretched. He sat up, looked at the time and got up. He began his daily routine. He didn’t have time for chit-chat now, nor relaxing nor feeling the breeze through the open window.
He took off his clothes and started heading for the bathroom. He is in his late thirties but still his body is as young as ever, even though now he has a more mature aura. His tanned skin and chocolate abs are still there. Those long legs which used to dance until they ached. Those strong arms ready to hug someone who needs it. His leader like identity is it still there?
No, he bitterly thinks. He is leader no more. He looks up to see his reflection. His eyes had no life, his small face is sad, his lips taste bitter. Time may have been gentle with him physically but definitely not mentally. It hurts so much.
The hot water doesn’t help either. He finished his bath quickly and dressed up formally. He took one last glance at the mirror, fixed his tie and put on the necessary accessories, finishing the look by spraying cologne. He didn’t want this he wanted his old life back. You wonder who this man is. We all know him, loved him, been fan of him for years but not now. Now because of…reasons…
Who is he? Jung Yunho.
He was the leader of DBSK, after the lawsuit TVXQ and now just a simple dance teacher at SM entertainment. He misses the days back. He regrets some of the decisions he made and that’s what hurts the most. He didn’t want regrets in his life.
He misses and regrets many things and one of-
“Yunho honey, you’re coming?” A female voice could be heard from downstairs. His wife.
Now why did he get married? Oh right, because of his parents and because he is supposed to. Is this what he wanted? No.
After the lawsuit, he stayed with Changmin and they worked on many albums. He was sad but he tried to overcome his pain. After living alone, everything became distant, he lost the bond. Changmin had a life, and he did too. Yunho started and tried going out with girls. The keyword: tried. He found someone who got approved by his parents and then got married. He doesn't have kids yet. Thank god because Yunho doesn’t want to regret that too, beside his marriage. It’s not that he dislikes kids, no he loves them and they love him too but no, he doesn’t want that yet. After the split his life started getting from good to worse no matter how much he tried and wanted to believe it was for the best. He lost two important friends, Yoochun and Junsu.
But what he regrets the most is losing Jaejoong, the love of his life. Before the lawsuit Yunho’s life was wonderful. He loved every second of it, even the bad moments because the good ones overpowered them. Kim Jaejoong filled his thoughts every day. No scratch that. He still thinks about Jaejoong every day even until now. It makes him so sad that he lost him, forever.
If someone asked him if Yunjae is real, he would say yes but not because of the fanservice but because it was true. He and Jaejoong had been lovers for years. They shared so many moments together. Some of them quite intimate too. He liked Jaejoong since forever but admitted to himself years later. Then they started flirting and with the help of the members, his friends, they became a couple. Screw SM, parents and society they thought then. But everything has a but. Things got out of hand, there occurred fights and then it happened, he lost him.
He lost the ability, pleasure and happiness to see those beautiful and round doe-like eyes. Eyes that were filled with love whenever their owner looked at him and then he would reflect his love through his own pair of almond shaped ones. He can’t kiss anymore those red pouty lips which every time they kissed, those lips would nibble on his. And then here comes the compliment about having a pretty mole from their cute owner.
The most important of all? He can’t make love to Jaejoong. He can’t prove his love for him through the intimate act of sex. No, not anymore. Yunho’s heart aches. He still loves him after all these years, it hurts his very soul…the core of his being.
None can replace him, because none reached the depths of his heart with such gentle caresses. Jaejoong was not just a pretty doll for agencies and fans to be played with but he was a beautiful soul, ready to hug you tight and fill you with love. And that’s what he did to Yunho but when he got betrayed when everything turned out bad, Jaejoong became the cold person as he was always seen, out of reach for everyone even for Yunho. He would just put on fake smile and walk away. Who knows, maybe he got his broken heart repaired after all? But Yunho, whatever happens, will never forget the broken pleas and unshed tears. But he will regret losing him. Call him selfish all you want but even though he is the one who caused all this sadness, he wants him again within his embrace so he can take his pains away. Of course now he can do nothing about this. It’s all past now. The only thing he can do now is to make his future better, maybe he can try to be happy again. There is always hope right?
Yunho went down the stairs and he found himself in the kitchen way too quickly for his liking. His mind was in haze now, all his thoughts scattered inside his head. He sat down on the chair and waited for his wife to prepare their breakfast. He found the newspaper on the table, he took it and started reading. More like trying to distract himself. He took a sip of his coffee, it tasted bitter like always, no matter how much sugar his wife would put in. Like in their life. In reality she never made him smile genuinely, even though she was the perfect wife material. Yunho’s heart was never there. It has been stolen a long time ago and not only that, it was also broken badly.
“Is Changmin coming back from Japan today?” Yunho’s wife asked suddenly.
“Yes” Yunho muttered. Well that didn’t sound too happy to her ears, but she decided to ignore like always. What a perfect lover she was, right? Another fake person in Yunho’s life.
He would never be like that. He always cared for him and tried to make him smile no matter what. He…
“Oh that’s nice. Tell him after he settles down that we can have together dinner today or something. I wonder how Japan was, you know it’s been a long time since we’ve been there” She commented. Well there it goes again. She wants something for him. Yunho do this, Yunho do that. Or it will be something else maybe a vacation again? Yunho sighed. He was sick of this. He was sick of everything.
“We must totally go there again, I heard there is like this big show!”
“And do you remember the day I wore the yukata and we went to that nice restaurant……” She continued with her speech thinking her husband was listening to her. How wrong she was.
“Yah Yunho~ Stop with those grumpy faces! What’s wrong with you today? Here let me help you a little~” Jaejoong said with a pout on his face, that made his lips look fuller. The raven placed one hand around his lover’s neck. Then his delicate but chubby fingers started stretching Yunho’s mouth as if to make him smile. Yunho started making weird noises as he tried to protest the violation his face was suffering. That made Jaejoong stop what he was doing. The melodious laugh that resounded through the kitchen made Yunho look at him. Oh how much he loved his angel. Unconsciously Yunho smiled.
“See that wasn’t so bad after all. You are smiling! “ Jaejoong hid his smile behind his hand as his eyes closed from happiness. Feeling the moment. Feeling the bliss. Tasting heaven . Living like a dream. Together. Forever…
Later that night Jung Yunho was driving through the streets of Seoul. His phone rang. He picked it up right away, it was Changmin. What he said though made Yunho’s car come to a halt.
“He is back…”
