It's good to hear all this, though a little scary that you'd vote for a liberal candidate, seeing as how they're all socialist (though, are the republican any better?).

(^ Sorry, my had-to mini-rant.)

Now, the really fun part, once you're beyond the preconceived notions, is forming your own. =P

Does Christianity = any political party? All of them claim to have God on their side, but, if you really study the Bible (as you, happily, say you are doing), there's very little that resembles anything we see being bandied about, abused, or generally accepted in today's modern politics

I completely agree with the political party bit. I just covered to two main ones, but I don't like the use of the religion card at all in politics.

And in comparison with other institutions, you're right on about capitalism.

I'm just thinking about stuff. I don't really know what I'm going to do with any of these thoughts at the moment. We'll see!
