Generalized thinking
I've been pondering the effects of covid-19 on the world in which we live and I realized something today. It isn't the pandemic that's the problem, it's people. We have now become a society that as a whole, uses a pandemic as an excuse to act like a generalized group of jackasses. It is a collectivism. This is nothing new under the sun. People want to be part of family and tribe, and in more modern times, nation. When there is a stressor or multiple stressors in the environment, people tend to project hatreds, fears, and aggression onto the people they do not consider part of their group. The pandemic did not create that; it merely exacerbated it.
