Throughout your application I really saw Slytherclaw. You had obvious Gryffindor qualities, but they didn't seem to be as strong as your wit, ambition, and knowledge.
This was a great application! Good Luck with sorting =)
Am I the only one who thought this app sounded very much like a Slytherin push? I mean, there's self-awareness, which is fantastic, and then there's this. A lot of answers here felt very much...forced. To put it bluntly, this sounded a little bit how I'd imagine someone would imagine that a hard-core Slytherin would sound.
You said that you relate to Voldemort's goals of taking over the world. You mentioned that you wouldn't particularly dislike someone for killing another human being. You hit us over the head with your disdain for characters that feel emotion. All of these combined to create what I felt was a very Mary-Sueish feel to the entire app, which is often the result of pushing for a specific house. I was finally left trying to find a personality here, in what seemed to finally be a practiced four-act ode to Slytherin House. Squib.
I'm sorry you feel that way. Believe it or not, this is how I really am, and have been for some years now. I see where you're coming from, and saw it when I edited my application, but I decided to leave it as-is because I didn't write anything but the truth. In any case, thanks for giving detailed reasons for your squib vote.
8. Applicants: Do not under any circumstances reply to any comments on your application. It makes it very difficult to tally points and count votes if you do. Your application will be removed and you will have to resubmit if you reply to comments. Also, please do not friends lock your application. I would like for potential applicants to be able to use applications for reference before they apply.

I'm with brazenbitch. I doubt I'd say it as well as she did, but I will quote the most important parts: "To put it bluntly, this sounded a little bit how I'd imagine someone would imagine that a hard-core Slytherin would sound." "I was finally left trying to find a personality here, in what seemed to finally be a practiced four-act ode to Slytherin House."
I was surprised to read your life's aspirations. I was expecting a Hitler-like goal, not something of a quiet life.
"I don't play games, I don't mess with peoples' minds, I'm not over-dramatic, and I'm not petty or catty." "I have a keen understanding of the shadows that lurk in the minds and hearts of people, and I'm not afraid to exploit them for my own benefit." This is one example of your contradictory nature. Do you play games, or don't you?
I can't even begin to sort you, simply because from this application, I don't know who you really are. I know who you want to be, but that's not what we sort here.
