[character]: Terezi Pyrope
[character history / background]:
Here![character abilities]: Terezi is blind, but can "see" her world through scent and taste. She can even "smell" words and colors, and so can read and can make out objects and her surrounding environment quite well, though they are
foggy and blurred. She carries a cane with her and taps it along the ground as a blind human would, but Karkat states that she does not need it, and she generally uses it to fight instead.
She also has a knack for manipulating people and winning them over, as her playful, slightly teasing personality seems to be endearing to others. She's also a very adept troll. Her title as the Seer of Mind means that she can see people's choices and predict how these choices will influence the future in multiple timelines. Terezi can use this to manipulate people as well, and does so to John and later Dave.
[character personality]: Terezi is generally cheerful and playful, always teasing and mocking everyone. Even the people she likes. Especially the people she likes. She's on good terms with almost all of the humans and other trolls, though she isn't afraid to let people know when she thinks they're being stupid or making no sense. However, even if she really hates someone, she tends to mock them rather than outright insult them or be mean. On the other hand, she tends to show her affection in very physical ways - sniffing and licking her friends and even people she's just met, especially Karkat. Part of this stems from the fact that she's blind and uses such methods to understand the world around her, while some of it is certainly just her attempt to freak everyone out. It totally works.
Terezi is one of the only trolls to help the human kids during their session, and contacts Rose for this purpose. She also leads John to the boss of his world and encourages him to fight it, and when he dies attempting to do so, she shows genuine remorse and makes it up to him by showing him how to get to Rose's world. Her motivations are never truly clear, though.
Terezi tends to flip between moods, switching from very childish to super serious, from flirty to mocking to nearly psychotic in the midst of one conversation. However, despite her strange moodswings, she is, at her center, an aspiring legislacerator (or lawyer), with the ability to manipulate people with her own cunning rather than relying on special powers like Vriska. She can be quite serious when she thinks something is unjust or deceitful, though of course the troll definition of justice is much different from the human one. She can also be very logical, and was the first choice for leader of the red team, before Karkat threw a fit about it. She and her “friend” Vriska once formed a pair called the Scourge Sisters, vigilante “heroes” who would punish other young trolls for their wrong-doings in a very serious and very dangerous LARPing game.
This friendship was doomed to failure, as Vriska would eventually paralyze one member of their opposing team and kill the other two. Terezi got her revenge by blinding Vriska and causing her to lose an arm, though Terezi would be repaid by being blinded. After this, Terezi's unborn guardian, a type of monster called a lusus, would teach her how to see the world in a different way. It's because of this that she prefers being blind, and even thanks Vriska later. She then begins to use the "numbers the blind seers used", replacing each A, I and E with 4, 1 and 3, respectively.
For a thirteen year old girl, she is actually surprisingly mature. She seems to get impatient very quickly with Karkat's tantrums and Vriska's games, and is usually very well-spoken. However, she can be pouty sometimes, too, though this might just be a bit of playfulness on her part.
As for her personal relationships, she often is blatant about how she feels about people, but never says so in a serious way, so it's a bit hard for others to know if she's kidding. She cries when one version of Dave dies, though, and even shoves Karkat away when he becomes curious about it, then runs off. She also shows clear concern and affection for Karkat, especially when he's in one of his self-deprecating moods. She also shows no disdain for his "mutant blood", nor any other "low class colors" as some of the higher tier trolls do.
[point in timeline you're picking your character from]: Right after watching doomed Dave die, and running away from Karkat.
[journal post]:
[There's a very, very strange looking girl sitting on the wall of the fountain. She's toying with the network device, and has managed to turn on the video. She doesn't seem bothered about not being where she's supposed to. She does seem bothered about something else, though.]
This is so dumb! Why would anyone use something like this?
[There's a pause as she... Totally licks the screen of the device. In a very ladylike manner, of course! Be glad it wasn't the lens. And then the network is treated to a cheshire grin, revealing dozens of pointed teeth. The feed switches to text.]

That's better. I just got here and I'm already bored! And there are humans everywhere. I don't get it! I was doing something important. You don't even know how important! You stupid people can send me back anytime, but right now would be nice.
[Of course nothing happens.]
Hehehehe. Of course it won't be that easy. I should have guessed. Ooooh, maybe whoever stuck me here is too weak to get me back out? Not cool enough, even. I suppose I will just have to find my own way back in that case.
[third person / log sample]:
Terezi had found an isolated outer section of the lab to hide in, and had perched herself on a ledge. She was certain none of her friends would find her here, especially Karkat. She couldn't deal with his interrogating right now. And anyway, poking her in the cheek when she was clearly crying was kind of a lame thing to do. Not that she'd expected much different.
She'd known that Dave was doomed, and that there was no changing it. But she'd encouraged Dave to make the decision in the first place, and so really, it was her fault, wasn't it? They'd made a deal: She would help him, preventing any more alternate Daves from dying. Terezi had certainly not held up her end.
Sure, it was necessary. Dave had wanted to know how to attain god tier, and now he did. He'd needed to make that choice, and anyway, a version of him was still alive. But seeing him cut down like that...
Terezi wipes the tears from her cheeks impatiently, taking a deep breath. Why was this affecting her so much? Death wasn't a big deal. It happened all the time. But Dave was different. She cared about him, maybe more than she'd anticipated. It was a bit frustrating.
She should have been up there, helping her friends, making sure Alpha Dave was doing what he was supposed to, but for some reason, she couldn't bring herself to do it. She wasn't ready to face any of them yet, and she wasn't quite sure why. It wasn't as though any of them knew what she'd done, and even if they did, they wouldn't care.
But Dave cared, and he wasn't happy with her. Terezi could tell. She'd played it off, of course, but his discomfort upset her, too. She didn't know why she cared so much. He was just a human! A really interesting, cool human, sure, but...
Another deep breath. Dwelling on this was pointless, and a complete waste of time. She still couldn't get the image out of her head.
And she bets Karkat took that shove pretty personally, too. She sighed, running her fingers along a grove in the ledge. Terezi hadn't meant to shove him, really, but explaining everything that had happened would have been too much. And he wouldn't have understood, anyway. But he was her matesprit, so she figured she was supposed to be open with him regardless of whether he would understand or not.
Terezi would be. Just not right this second. Despite her nonchalant flirting, being around him always made her heart do a silly jump, and even his ridiculous tirades made her happy, even if they kind of annoyed her sometimes, too. The thought of him stewing up there over that shove just made her more upset. Karkat made himself miserable enough without her helping out.
Why did things have to be so complicated and jumbled up, anyway?
