It seems lately [ do nothing but work and watch concerts... what a great summer!!!
This week's choice was Queen of Pirates, from
JPOPSUKI Tracker, and it's the kind of special we've come to expect from them...
Basically, KAT-TUN unwittingly ends the debate of Pirates vs Ninjas...
The Pirates didn't win. Even Johnny Depp is ashamed of being a pirate after this. There is more fail in the first 20 minuets than some Johnny's bands have in their whole careers.
What saves this concert from itself is the fact that KATTUN, as always, has no idea how hard they're sucking. They think this concert is the best thing since sliced bread, and from the looks on their faces, they're having a blast. It's hard to fault that level of enthusiasm and confidence (though this concert gave it a run for it's money). You can teach Jin to sing on key, group syncronization and proper fashion sense (albiet it seems nobody has...) but you can't teach that odd sincerity-in-the-face-of-utter-suck quality that makes me love them.
Congratulations, guys, this was officially the worst concert I have ever seen. But, ultimately, I had a great time watching it. You're a paradox, KAT-TUN.
Other points of interest: Random appearance of Yamapi, and mikes that double as fire extinguishers!
Also fro JPOPSUKI tracker is the 2008-2009 countdown! Only a few months too late. Kind of a cool thing going on with the main concert at the Dome, Koichi hosting another concert in Osaka, and the two communicating by video streaming. Looks like the Hey!Say!Choir! is not quite old enough to be out working so late, as they dissapeard partway through the concert and a few reappeared later in the audience. And Jin does not know the Daitai Seniorita dance. (Isn't that a staple of his agency?)
