You took everything that I wanted to say to him and said it better than I could. Well done to the both of you.

There is no question in my mind that anything you would write in his memory would be poignant, poetic and touching. :)

In his (and the Joker's) honor, I'm wearing a purple LaCoste polo today, with a green alligator on it. (TMI alert -- all undergarments are so coordinated as well.) I've also got my "Joker" ring on, which has an amethyst and greenish fiery opal. Just wanted to nod an acknowledgement to both boys today.

That is fantastic. I'm in a red dress at the moment (about to go out to lunch), but I need to put on purple when I get back.

Speaking of Heath Ledger, I did realize another thing he gave me to be thankful for: friends like you. If we hadn't seen the TDK, we wouldn't have started writing fan fiction, and I'd never have met you or so many other great people. So a huge thanks to Heath Ledger and everyone else involved in the films for that.

That is a great point. :) I, too, am so very grateful for the amazing friends I've met (like you!)... all because of a frisky, nihilistic clown.

Very beautiful words you wrote. Heath was quite fearless in his choices in life. I respect that about him.

Thank you! Heath embodied a fear that I *never* could have surmounted at his young age. Rather than letting fear of negative opinions mold his path, he chose his own way. It takes tremendous courage not to stay on a "safe" course of pleasing others by doing what's "expected".

Me too. This might be a good day to watch TDK again. Although I'm hesitant to watch it too much (the familiarity with his scenes from all the YouTube fan videos has already diluted the impact of his presence when watching the movie in its entirety), today may be an appropriate day to pull out the movie as a special Easter treat.

Another birthday he will never experience. It's even worse he'll never see his daughter's birthday with every passing year.
He accomplished so much before turning 30. I hope to take some creative risks and live life fully the way he did before turning 30. He's definitely an inspiration.
