Isn't that an oxymoron?

I don't know about minimal activity; the one time I had to be stationary with a crawler for 12 hours, I just stayed on the floor with a lot of pillows and pain relievers. At least that way you and the offspring are on equal footing, so to speak.

Sorry to hear it!

I hope & pray you'll heal soon! It's really impossible when the primary caregiver isn't supposed to be doing much, but they're still in charge of a toddler who won't be still! The only alternatives that will help ensure "minimal activity" I can think of are the following:
1) a babysitter/family member who can hang around & do the chasing;
2) park her in front of videos (yes, I know pediatricians think they're wrongity-wrong, but moms need some chance to have 30 minutes of peace in a day);
3) put her in a play pen/Pack 'N Play (assuming she can't climb out of one yet); and/or
4) close yourself & her in one room (a bedroom, maybe) with most of what you'll need for a span of several hours & let her tear the place apart.

If you don't have many videos on hand, I'd recommend Nick Jr as a cable station, or have someone run out to your local library for videos like Baby Einstein, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Kipper the Dog, etc.

Here's hoping you make it through the next few days! {{hugs}}
