Help, please?

Mar 26, 2011 15:37

I've been trying to figure out how to add a header image to my journal, and someone was even kind enough to send me a link to help, but for the life of me, I still can't figure it out! I guess perhaps I'm hopelessly technologically illiterate. :-P  Anyway, if anyone would be so awesome as to offer any help, I would be ever so extremely grateful ( Read more... )

It took me ages to figure this out. I just add a code to the end of my custom CSS, I found it online. You just add your own link to an image. I'll e-mail you if you don't get any better offers! ;-)

For myself, I searched for lj custom layouts that people had made and then made available for others. You can copy and paste their code and most of them have a section just like si_star_x said that you add your own link to an image. Because only a very small number of lj's regular layouts have header options

eheh, well I got the pic I want up, but the format and everything's all messed up- I'm going to have to try again tomorrow when I'm not so tired. :-P

Um, so, is there any way where you can get someone else to do this for you? :-P I keep trying and every time, the formats all wrong. I can get the picture I want there, but always in the wrong place (or places) and usually too big. I think I give up. :-(

LOL! It's okay, I almost gave up when I was learning it too! Do you want me to send you the site where I got mine from? You copy and paste, just follow the directions and you'll need to fiddle around with the number of pixels you want your picture to be but it does work.
