Today was my Baldwin Scholars interview and also meltingly hot.
This sweater is one of those "The store is closing-- I don't have time to try this on-- oh it's too fabulous to put down-- I'll buy it" impulses. I am so infinitely glad I did.

Fall break was a pure burst of loveliness, which was SO badly-needed. It was a time of silly clothing but now that I'm feeling a bit better I'm back on-form.

On an Off Day
Yesterday I was talking about the concept of Off Days. The days that most people wear hooded sweatshirts and jeans and flip-flops. And how I don't ever seem to have off days.
I do, but I do them differently.

I have a paper due tomorrow. Yes, you know what that means-- taking pictures of things in an attempt to forget about the homework!!!
I thought I'd do some pictures of my room because as my roommate said we've settled in quite nicely!

Fall means a certain settling in.
It means that everyone's gearing up to get through the winter, starting to cover up and focus a little. There's less of the summer glory and nostalgia and more of that warm-orange autumn reality. It's something I absolutely love.

Okay, so I have NO time for this. But I persevere.
Mostly because I LOVE this blanket/sweater/wrap. As I said before I've been wanting one for a year now but I couldn't find a good one-- they always are a bit thinner and flimsier than you'd like, which makes it impossible. Today is confusing, to say the least, because I had an outfit all planned out...and then it started to rain. Hard.
This is problematic because:
1. The outfit I'm wearing now n'aime pas les rainboots. I mean, it could work, but why?
2. The rain de-curled my hair. boo.
3. It's stopped raining now, but who knows what that means?

How I will remember what I've worn and not wear the same thing three weeks in a row...
After a half-hour conversation with my mother I was closer to mental collapse than I have been for weeks at least. Coincidence? Oh for sure.
