OOC: On Becca Sommers
Name: Becca Sommers

Becca Sommers is young, smart, and a whiz at computer hacking. She spent her early years traveling with her activist parents, and quickly learned to take care of herself, spending a lot of time alone while her parents attended protest meetings. She became fascinated with her father's laptop when she was four and quickly developed a talent for navigating through complicated computer programs.
In the 4th grade Becca broke into her school's mainframe computer (see username). When Becca was nine her mother died of cancer and it was during that time that she started cutting school and discovered the world of underground computer hackers. With Jaime gone, Becca developed a close relationship with her father until 2005 when she hacked into the website of a government agency that her activist father was investigating. Soon after that incident Becca’s father took her to live with her older sister Jaime who was then working as a bartender.
Becca now has a court order forbidding her access to computers connected to the internet, but circumvents this stipulation by suspending her MacBook in a net outside her window whenever Jamie searches for it.
Used to having her freedom Becca is now kept on a short leash by Jaime. Not pleased with having to live with a sister she barely knows, she is continually finding small (and not so small) outlets for rebellion -- smoking pot, throwing parties, sneaking out with older boys to make out in cars... the usual.
Alienated from her sister and abandoned by her father, Becca is essentially your typical hyper-smart teenager getting herself into trouble.
In 2007, one of these rebellions is in the form of smoking pot in the girls locker room at her high school. Becca was caught, and threatened with expulsion and revocation of the drama club activities that she loves. She comes to Milieux a short time later to try and derail her from the track her sister so obviously sees her heading down.
