From from what I have heard, it sounds like nothing more than insensitive rumors. I would pay no attention to it.

I think leaving the city every now and then is good for just about everyone. Even though I grew up in a town like this, it always became tiring and mundane after so long.

Huh. You'd think there'd be something more entertaining for these kids then pretending people are getting married.

I know what you mean there. Not about the growing up in a city, since I didn't even know they could get this big until a few years ago, but about the tiring mundane thing. Folks will tell you there's so much more to do in a city but they're the ones more likely to complain about being bored.

I don't play well with others. Not interested. I'd have to be drugged and dragged there and I sure hope that doesn't happen.
