I'm excited about the movie in part because I never really thought it would kick off and in part because they promise it won't be mytharc. Although there probably will be some elements, because I really don't think having Mulder and Scully randomly run around Europe looking for monsters will have very much context.

I know what you mean. I too had lost hope of ever seeing a second movie come to life.

That's why overall, excitement wins out.
