A brief update

This is going to be another random, one line at a time update.

-I haven't been on facebook since I woke up and although I'm really tempted to see who wrote what on my wall, I will resist. Let's see how long I can keep this up. One year? I doubt it. Maybe another few hours after I wake up at most. But I wonder how long I could go, maybe it would end up something like 40 Days and 40 Nights... And speaking of facebook, I found out yesterday that indeed Azim Kasmani is the 11th member of facebook at McMaster. First is the creator, who I always thought was just some idiot trying to be cool when I first signed up, but actually the creator is the first profile at each school. Also, member #10 currently doesn't exist, moving me up even higher. More at http://thebillygoatcurse.com/43/

-I love oatmeal. And speaking of oatmeal, all this work at the gym and the attempted eating healthy is paying off. I should have taken a before picture, but I never bothered. But now, now I can see it all paying off. While I still have a ways to go, I can feel a lot better about myself and I can know that something's been accomplished. Thats the best part about working hard at anything, seeing the results in the end. I never imagined this could have been me and so I really hope I reach my goal. And then I hope I look back on this in future and apply the dedication to all areas of life.

-I froze some strawberries last week so they wouldn't go bad. Then I put them in the fridge a week later, so that I could use them in making something, maybe homemade jam or in cereal. Then today I open the fridge to find a bunch of pink sugary stuff all over the bottom of the fridge. Turns out they didn't defrost back into form but instead defrosted really soft. THEY TASTE LIKE FREAKING STRAWBERRY SYRUP. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! It's like all the added sugar without any added sugar!

-I volunteered at Relay for Life, which was fundraiding for the Canadian Cancer Society. I spent my time counting money, lots of money. So far these guys have raised a total of almost $42 000. Congratulations to the people who put it all together, and if you ever get a chance to go to a relay for life, do it! It's a lot of fun participating, spending the whole night with a group of friends in a gym full over other people, doing whatever you want. Nexxt year I want to actually participate in the event and it would be great if my friends from other schools joined too... Oh, and the apples and bananas they had, my God they were good.

-SRA starts on Wednesday and I'm really looking forward to that. We get to go to a formal reception hosted by the President of the students union and the President of the university. This whole Relay thing has got me excited about volunteering now, and I hope SRA is similar or atleast events that we get involved in. And I hope I end up doing Comedy for a Cure and running a big event.

- I tested positive to TB, most likely due to the fact that I was born in Kenya and given a TB vaccination at a young age. Basically, anyone who's been exposed to TB or the vaccine tests positive. Even though x-rays came back negative, just incase, they're recommending I go and take a 6-9 month antibiotic regimen to make sure I don't contract it in the future. Great.

- Damn those stawberries were great

- School sucks
