That is so sweet. This is old but maybe you are still here. I was inspired over the holiday weekend because my guy was away, and wrote a little something. I really enjoyed it, and I do miss some of the people I met here (you being one!) but I just don’t have the time any more. Anyway, thanks for thinking of me!

I'm not there (here?) Just too busy with the flotsam of life - fixing up the little aerie that is my office, gardening (OK, drooling over seed catalogues) training my assistants. OK, they aren't ONLY mine, but still, how freakin' cool is that? (You have to picture me cross-legged and giggling in my desk chair as I contemplate this Leave it to Beaver Life to fully appreciate the image.)
I do think of you often, though, among others here. I saw Mike Doughty recently - well, recently-ish, and had a little reverie listening to True Dreams of Wichita. That was your favorite, yes?
Signal got lost to the satellite Got lost in the Rideup to the Plungedown; Man sends the ray of the electric light Sends the impulse Through the air Down to home
I am hoping you are happy - feel free to enlighten.
Doing well enough, I have a staff of my own(!) to boss around and do the menial detail work that I don't have time for, except that I traded salary for "cool" working environment, and it's killing me. Planning a move to a better job or a less expensive locale. Engaged (did you have your big day yet?).
Just, you know, missing the friendship (and probably the tension too). You know where to find me.
I do hope my reply didn't end up putting you off in some way. It was perhaps less vague and more flirty than it ought to have been. Then again it is hard to tell between an silence with an agenda and just the regular ins and outs of living.
My favorite man of the cloth? How are you and yours?
I don’t think I will ever come back, mostly for mundane reasons. But I do think of a few of you more than you might expect. And I have had a little idea of late that is just a story embryo, but I think I might post it. I have written things for Jack since then but nothing I felt was polished enough to justify making a stir here. I make no promises for this, either, but it will have some little Persephone references that will amuse at least me, and hopefully one or two others. I am telling you now so that I will feel more compelled to actually follow through!
