A friend of mine, Paul Crowley, has just had his first book published as an ebook through Chippewa Publishing. It's called
Last Call, and it's in the crime fiction genre. Here's the blurb from the site:
Finn Nelson isn't a detective. He owns a bar on Milwaukee's fashionable and quirky East Side. But when his girlfriend asks him to do a favor for a friend, he can't say no. Soon Finn is caught in a web of deceit, passion, and betrayal that will consume him if he's not careful.
I'm not all that familiar with the ebook publishing industry, but it appears that at least with this publishing house, an author needs to sell at least 200 ebooks before they'll consider negotiating a print deal. So, if anyone's willing to cough up $7 to scope out my friend's ebook, you'd be helping him out towards eventually (hopefully!) getting print published, which I think is pretty exciting! :)
