how is everyone doing?

i'm way behind in the word count department. i'm at 3500 words but i started one story on november 2 and started a brand new story just this past sunday. i think i can catch up (or nearly catch up this weekend).

where are you all at with word counts? are you happy with the plot thus far or are you already tiring of it?

I'm about 5000 words behind. I feel like I've established my characters but now I don't know what is going to happen to them... and so I'm kind of stuck. like I keep wanting to introduce new characters, because that's easier than figuring out what to do with the ones I already have.

I'm at about 4700 words, so fairly behind, but I love the plot and the characters and the universe it's set it, so I'm enjoying myself. I basically know how it ends, but I just need to figure out how the story gets there.
Also, this thing is looking like it's going to be way longer than 50,000 words and take way longer than a month to finish, so it's ok if I don't reach the NaNo goal. But I'm going to keep trying nonetheless... maybe I'll finish it by next November. : )
And happyelfling, if you don't know what should happen next, or how one character gets from one place for another, Shakespeare had a very convenient all-purpose answer that you can use, too: pirates.

As of right now, I'm at 6,673 words. REALLY far behind. But I've started my story several times over now, not happy with the way it was going. I've completely changed it now, even going so far as to change the point of view I was using as I'm now writing it in first person point of view.

I think I'm doing rather well though, considering I didn't settle upon this idea until a few days ago. I need to catch up though.
