Hope you like it.

When Nino received the script of his new movie, he didn't imagine himself practicing waltz with Aiba in a dance studio. Not at all.

"No Nino, it's chasse! There are four counts!" Aiba said stepping back and showing the movements to the younger man.

"Chat, chess, whatever..." Nino sighed as sat on the floor.

"It's chasse!" Aiba stomped angrily in front of Nino before pull his arm "Come on, you need to practice more!"

Nino stood up reluctantly. He whined a bit, but positioned himself; he stretched his left arm slightly and held Aiba's hand while put his right hand softly on the taller man's back. Then, at Aiba's count, they started to dance.

One, two, three. One, two, three.

They spun graciously crossing the dance studio. Every now and then Nino looked down to his feet but Aiba caught his attention increasing his voice, making Nino look straight again.

One, two, three. One, two, three.

Nino just sighed trying to keep his posture.

"Why am I dancing with you again?"

"Because I can dance waltz and you will learn it faster with me, that see you almost everyday, than practicing with a choreographer, that can see you only twice a week." Aiba winked smugly before continue counting.

Nino had never imagined Aiba's grandma was a waltz dancer. Neither that Aiba helped her on the dance class teaching old couples.

So, as soon as Nino announced to his band mates about the role on his new movie - a young waltz dancer that became pretty famous all around the world - Aiba raised his hand, suggesting that he taught Nino how to waltz. It sounded ridiculous at first, but Aiba was right, Nino would learn it faster that way.

One, two, three. One, two, and, three.

The shorter man stumbled again.

"I said four counts!"

Nino murmured an incoherent curse as glared Aiba. They had harder choreographies for their songs, why couldn't he learn those easy steps? He wanted to blame Aiba, but that dude was a good teacher indeed. He explained all the steps slowly and clearly, guiding Nino carefully every time. He must have been popular among the ladies, Nino thought.

-----

They practiced at least three hours per week. Soon Nino could follow Aiba's steps nicely and stopped looking down to his feet. It was awkward dancing with Aiba, since the actress he would dance with was the same height as Nino, but he managed to learn every single movement perfectly and perform it with the female choreographer as he had the final lessons.

When he could, Aiba went to Nino's rehearsal to check how he was doing. Aiba felt proud, like a dad seeing his son in a presentation of the school play. He was also glad to see how Nino developed his skills waltzing.

One, two, three. One, two, three.

Nino's expression had also changed since they started practicing. He seemed bored at first, as he didn't care much about his role in the movie. But as time passed and Aiba taught him the elegant steps, guiding him gently, Nino got more convinced, he started to actually like waltz. Aiba could see Nino's eyes sparkling differently every time they met.

One, two, three. One, two, three.

Aiba even used his free time to see their filming. The first scene he saw was a practice scene for the final contest, the main spectacle of the movie. Nino's black costume and the actress' white dress stood out in the plain dance studio.

The pair moved smoothly, almost floating. Nino's legs seemed longer with the black trousers, making his movements even more beautiful and somehow passionate.

One, two, three. One, two, and, three.

The white dress fluttered like petals as they spun. Everything there seemed magical to Aiba, the music and the image involving him intensely. Nino was dancing so perfectly that Aiba thought even his reflection in the huge mirrors of the studio was getting jealous.

"Don't come to the filming. It's embarrassing!" Nino said shyly during break time.

"But you're great! I'm looking forward to watching this movie!" Aiba held Nino's hands tightly, eyes already teary.

"Stop it! You just want to see how pretty your final work looks in the big screen." the younger man raised a brow giggling.

"Yeah, maybe." Aiba received a smack on his head.

-----

As expected, the movie was successful. It sounded plain at first, but people seemed curious to see an idol ballroom dancing. And the fans, oh the fans, they would always check Nino's newest works.

Aiba insisted on going to the premiere even with his hard schedule. He wanted, he needed to watch that movie as soon as he could, beside Nino. And he didn't expect the younger man mentioning to the media they had been practicing together. Aiba couldn't help the smug expression forming on his face.

The movie was wonderful. Aiba had forgotten to blink every time Nino appeared on screen, making the real one beside him feel incredibly embarrassed.

"You were great! You were awesome! You were amazing!" Aiba repeated as Nino's manager drove them home.

"I already heard that! You kept squeaking all the time!" Nino laughed looking outside the window.

"But you were really good!" the older idol continued "It doesn't seem the same person that used to stumble on my feet!"

"Hey!" Nino turned his face to Aiba, just then he realized how close those enchanting eyes were looking at him.

"I'm very proud of you." Aiba's voice came softer this time, but it still had a lot of feeling.

Nino nodded in silence while his lips curled slightly upwards.

When they arrived at Nino's apartment, he pulled the taller man outside the car with him and told his manager Aiba would stay the night there. Aiba just followed his friend confused.

They removed their shoes and jackets at the door; Aiba was blabbering something about his pajamas and toothbrush when Nino interrupted him.

"I didn't thank you all this time." Nino walked to the living room and started pushing the little furniture there to a corner "Well, I guess you didn't notice it till now though. You're too idiot." Aiba complained about the last part, but soon asked what Nino was doing. The latter stood in the middle of the room stretching his left arm. A position Aiba knew too well "Would you grant me one last dance, teacher?"

Aiba wanted to laugh. Nino wanted to laugh. But both held serious expressions on their faces. Aiba approached to his partner and placed his right hand on the soft palm and the other hand on Nino's shoulder.

There was no music or counting. They waltzed in the silence, in a perfect posture. But after a few spins they looked to each other's faces. Smirking, smiling, laughing.

When Nino received the script of his new movie, he didn't imagine himself dancing waltz with Aiba late at night in his living room and laughing like a fool with him. Not at all.

+++++

Final note: I don't know anything about waltz. I had to go through Wikipedia and see some videos on YouTube to figure out how it is, so my descriptions might be a little odd.
Also, I don't have idea if Aiba or his grandma can dance waltz (probably not lol). This is FICTION.
