Honestly? I'm guessing the TMJ was caused either stress you were under in New York. Sure, you are under stress here too, and it's not all happy joy joy, but at least its *different* stress. Sometimes that honestly makes all the difference.

Also, changes in medication can cause TMJ (that's what it was for Amy) and when your body gets used to the change it will fade away.

I really don't think that singing can possibly cause TMJ, otherwise it would be an issue for professional singers. Your jaw simply being exercised a lot should cause it to be more supple and strong, not cause TMJ. There has to be another factor.

Yeah, a lot of it is stress, that's for damn sure.

It is a problem for some pro singers, though. At least, so I've heard.

Still, I was forced by circumstance into having a bagel for lunch yesterday and don't seem to be suffering much of anything for it, which is different.
