It’s been a good one for me because I haven’t yet ventured out today. I still recall my my first and last time trying to do the early shopping thing. I did a bit of online shopping today which was nice and convenient. Also, free shipping on everything ( Read more... )

So glad to hear from you! And, glad to hear you are doing well, and happy! Don't know if I missed it, but I'm still waiting for the "beau" story! :D

Mom woes never end, do they? *hugs you*

Thinking of you, and sending you loads of love.

*tackleglomps you* Life is good, just crazy busy most days. We need to poke and prod each other into posting more. *nods*

Yes, I do need to spill more on the beaufriend because there are some entertaining stories of my jump back into the dating pool. I've been seeing him for nine months now and it really has been great.

I've been thinking of you as I navigate trying to help my independent mother. I know you've had your hands full, too.

*hugs tightly*

I LOVE Criminal Minds! And I know hardly anyone who watches it!

I hope things go smoothly for your mom. Yikes!!! It was Tommy's collarbone that got broken at the very beginning of August in that accident, and it looks like it will never be the same. :o(

Criminal Minds is one of those shows which consistently delivers with great writing and acting. Cold Case is another.

Thanks, Patt. I hate to hear Tommy's still having issues with his collarbone. It should have been well healed after four months, right? It's been five weeks since Mom's accident and she still has limited mobility and quite a bit of pain. I know it's a slow process but that's disheartening to think the recovery still might not return the bone to its former capabilities. :|

I really don't know about the collarbone healing. rachet's mom broke hers a couple of years ago and it still isn't the same. I'm suspicious it's one of those things that's like the back... it's just never quite the same after you break it, and you just hope to be lucky enough that it is close to what it was? I'm sorry to be so negative. I wish I could say something more hopeful.

Honestly, in Tommy's case I think the problems with his asshole friends have caused him as much distress. I feel so bad for him to have had both things kind of jump on him at once, you know?

I think that can be an issue with broken bones and injuries. It's often never the same again or can give you grief later.

Yes, the timing of all that happened with Tommy was not good. I'm sorry about that. A person has enough to deal with when they have an injury. I know this slow recovery process has been frustrating and depressing for my mother so I've been trying to keep her stress factors low.

I'm glad you had a lovely Thanksgiving. How was the beaufriend's house? Did they have good food? ;) It's all about the food and my first Thanksgiving away from home with hubby's family they made stuffing from a box. O.o

A box. ...

I'm from the south. We make real stuff.

Anyway, thanks for the Naughty Codes. I might try that out!

Stuffing mix from a box on Thanksgiving? Oh, wow. Yes, this part of the south does the homemade cornbread dressing, too. It went well at the beaufriend's house. His mother is a good cook and it was all traditional fare. :)

From a box, you say? I'm imagining the look on your face as you identified the Stove Top stuffing. ;))

Yes, in fact, it was Stove Top. I almost burst into tears right there. Almost.
