*tackleglomps you*

I do feel blessed overall. I’m taking my mother tomorrow afternoon for another visit with the orthopedic doctor. It’s been 4 months since she broke her collarbone and thankfully, her healing is going really well. I hope things are going well with your mum. Between parents and kids, it feels like there’s always someone needing us. Take care, hon. *pokes you regarding our pact to post more* :D

Love you! So glad you've updated.

I cannot believe you're still having problems with your sinuses. I hope this next doc can find something and get you the relief you deserve.

We've had snow for months, even when it doesn't accumulate, it's in the air.

CT scans have exonerated my sinuses from being the cause of my headaches and face pain. Hopefully, this next doctor can determine something which will provide some relief. I can handle all the other aches/pains but the daily headaches are getting to me.

*loves you and misses you*

I'm glad you're having some fun lately:)

I hope you don't have fibromyalgia, though after living with it for > 20 years (more like 30, TBH) I'm wondering why your particular symptoms would suggest fibro. OTOH I have pain in my jaw and my dentist thinks it's TMJ from grinding my teeth while I sleep, which is why I've been wearing a bite splint while I sleep for the past 18+ months.

I’m also hoping it’s not fibromyalgia. I know how much you and one of my cousins have suffered with it. I’ve had various issues over recent years with ‘sinuses’ being the worst. After two years of treating me, the specialist has determined my sinuses are not the cause of the facial pain and headaches. I’ve also been having TMJ at least twice a year. I’m now taking mild muscle relaxants as needed for my neck/shoulders and hips/lower back issues. If I try to go without Motrin for 3 days, my neck/shoulders become very stiff. Through the night I have to do the ‘rotisserie’ thing, because I repeatedly wake up with my hip hurting so I’m constantly rotating sides for sleeping. I was suspecting arthritis since some of the stiffness is in my knees and elbows too. The worst is the daily headaches and facial pain which feels much like it does with a sinus infection, only there’s no infection. The headaches are the kind that wake me up in the middle of night in so much pain I consider going to the ER. I’m a tough old bird, but it’s starting to ( ... )

Thanks for giving more details, Sherry. I have a suggestion - you might want to buy a memory-foam topper for your mattress. I did that sometime last year and it was one of the best purchases I've made in years. I managed to find a 2-inch-thick egg-crate topper for a king mattress for $90 on Overstock.com. I discovered that if I put the eggcrate side next to the mattress and slept on the flat surface, it was really comfortable. I've also got a memory foam pillow that I bought for $30 on sale at Penneys. If you are sleeping on an older mattress, either or both of these might really help you. I will say that I used to be able to feel EVERY spring and bump in our mattress before I bought the topper. *hugs*

I’m tortured by thoughts of delectable Thin Mints chilled to perfection in my freezer.

TRUE FACTS!

I hope all goes well with the doctor appointment!

I have a story for you... First off, and not the story really, but I have a fabulous new boyfriend... who has two small boys of his own... Now, the story...

Last weekend he had to be in a recertification class with the rescue squad and so I had the boys all day with Rhiannon. We were goofing off and riding around that afternoon and Rhiannon wanted to play music in the CD player...

She asked where they were and I told her in one of the back pockets on the seats... she's scrambling around and pulling things out of those pockets looking for the CD's... as she's doing this, I hear the eldest boy say: "Hey Leighanne? What are these?" and I look back and he has that small box of Playtex Tampons you bought and stuck in the back pocket of the drivers seat on our way to NY almost two years ago!

HEE HEE!!!

*hugs and miss you madly*

Oh, man! I had forgotten all about those rogue tampons. I think we had your car loaded way beyond maximum capacity. Dare I ask what you told the boys? I’ve been catching up on LJ and yay! you! on the fabulous guy. You deserve the best!

My son was less than two years old when he asked about a box of pads/pantyliners. Trying to give an age appropriate answer, I told him they were kitty cat diapers. Wrong answer. He used them to diaper all our cats. Have you ever tried to remove adhesive from a cat’s crotch? Not that easy. I was just glad I hadn’t explained kitty cat plugs to my helpful toddler.

*miss you!*
