Summary: Drabble, Lance and Red and a moment between missions
It’s the fear that makes him kiss Lance, he thinks, the fear and the fact that the two of them made it out of the Team Rocket base alive. He’s too young, barely fifteen, but he’s Champion, and someone has to stand up against Giovanni before the whole mad world belongs to him.
They’re running through the woods, quietly, and they can hear the curses as the Team Rocket agents spring the traps they spent days planting, and up ahead Lorelei is waiting in the helicopter. They jump in, and fly off quickly, even as the Team Rocket helicopters whine behind them.
Lance smirks, and so does Red, as they release their flying pokémon, the dragons and the birds of legend, and behind them, they hear death-screams but it doesn’t really register for Red until they’re safe.
He kisses Lance then, still running high, blood pumping, and Lance kisses him back, and that’s when he realizes they’re making out in a tiny helicopter while Lorelei rolls her eyes but continues to drive.
Strangely, it doesn’t shock him as much as it should, and he wonders about it on the rest of the ride home, thoughtful.

The reason I like doing drabbles is because it’s easier to make em flow than a many-chaptered fic. I’m not quite sure why, but it must have something to do with length. Still, you can pack a lot of emotion into 100 words, and if anyone thinks I’m slacking by writing drabbles, I’ll slap them. Hard.
