matt wants to see life aquatic, bad education, and he saw "lemony snicket's: a series of unfortunate events" it was suprisingly good for a movie based on a bad (series of) book

BAD SERIES!??!?!!?!?! THOSE BOOKS ARE WITTY AND SMART, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THEY'RE CHILDREN'S BOOKS. MATT, YOU SHOOSH. BECAUSE APPEARENTLY YOU DIDN'T READ ONE, LET ALONE ALL 11! AND THE MOVIE WAS NOT GOOD, BECAUSE THE ADAPTATION OF COUNT OLAF IS NAUSEATING. HE'S MUCH MORE SINISTER. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"DFGLHKGJH!

I read several of the books, was quite annoyed with the constant defining of things, got bored quickly of the "children are better/smarter than everyone" theme, and the fact that count olaf shouldn't have been played by jim carrey is neither here nor there. The rest of the movie was quite well done.

oh, and books can't be smart, smart is a trait applied to things that can think. and count olaf was plenty sinister, just a little over-eccentric
