The tabloids were great over the summer....Laura wants divorce from W over cheating with Condi, W and Laura get back together, etc.

I'm more pissed at Katie Couric. you'd think she would know better than to ask stupid questions like that. I mean after all, apparently Katie thinks this is what America wants with its new "CBS Evening News".

However, while this particular instance is stupid, I think it's not the sexist aspect of it that's stupid as it is the whole idea of asking politicians, single or married about their private lives. I mean it wasnt really our business what Clinton did but they dove right in. Condi's just another victim. I do agree with you about the Colin Powell v. Condi thing though.

dude, you would have a hayday after hearing some of the commentary about "La Presidenta" here in Chile. I think I wrote an entry or two about it too...

Also, I´ve seen news articles with similarly degrading entrevistas with Evo Morales because of his indigenous heritage and certain sectors of Chilean society´s tendency to look down on anything not white.
