Rachel and Candis arrived in town yesterday afternoon. I somehow missed them coming off the plane and my cell phone wasn't getting any reception, but I finally found them. Last night we went to Target for a bit of shopping and then came home. We were all pretty sleepy so we just ended up playing Scene It? and nodding off part way through Beauty ( Read more... )

Even though it is something you want to do, try to get a good feel on something you would both like to do. I really know nothing about this guy.

SO

Does he like nature? Go on a bike trail maybe?

What type of movies does he like? See something you both would like.

Maybe play a board game with him.

Does he like to spend time outdoors? Is he athletic? Have a picnic and play frisbee and fly kites.

In the end just make sure that you are talking back and forth a lot. That really is the most important thing ;)

Go explore Bok Sanctuary, maybe? It's a little out of the way, but worth it, I'm told.

How about Disney mini-golf? It's Disney, but doesn't require a pass -and if you're a annual pass holder you can get the tickets really cheap, I believe. It's a fun date activity because it gives you the chance to DO something, and yet you can talk and get to know each other the entire time.

Mini Golf! Disney has two great mini golf courses - you will get a discount with your pass too (like 50% off or something really good!). Also there is Pirates Mini Golf at the CrossRoads (right across from Downtown Disney) which is a great course as well ( ... )

I know! Go to Old Town and ride the Slingshot!

Okay, if you're too scared to do that: picnic's are always fun. I also third the idea for mini golf.
Otherwise: is there anything you've been wanting to do in Florida so far but haven't? Any museums, parks, etc. I did a search online for date ideas and it keeps suggesting things like horseback riding and ice skating.

You can always look and see if there are any "events" going on right now in the area, like when we went to that Shakespeare in the Park thing in Kansas City.

Anyway, I'm sure you can find something fun to do! You Orlando people have lots of options. Bak here it's always hmmm... movie or bowling?
