MUSICAL THEATRE: Leading the Warm-Up

Having been exposed to warm-ups throughout the course of the semester, it is now time for each individual student to prepare and lead a WARM-UP for the entire class. The warm-up itself should be FIFTEEN MINUTES in length and should include the following (in the order noted below):
  • Cardio exercises to warm up the body.
  • Stretches (from head to toe) engaging each of the major muscle group. Each stretch, whether ballistic/dynamic or static, must last a minimum of FIFTEEN SECONDS.
  • Breathing exercises.
  • Vocal exercises.
