Growing up is tough, man. It is. It's supposed to be. Not something that just happens. Having a support system, even a little one, makes a massive difference, so it's good that you have one.
But do no ever sit back and think "damn, what have I done with my life?" It's a trap. A nasty nasty trap.
36 years old....can you imagine? Be 37 in 3 months. Not married, no kids (thankfully), living alone for a while. Good group of friends.
Had to move across the country to start over. Terrifying and new...but worth it.
Bottom line of my point...do what you need to do to be happy. Your support group and real friends will always wish you well, no matter the distance or amount (or lack of) communication.
