A Small Bit of Sweetness
She really needed to give that boy a chance, watching as Hojo almost trip over his feet. InuYasha had been on her case a lot lately, and it was putting a major strain on her. So, back she whisked away to her home era, and settled into school. However, when she returned it was the weekend which means she could relax.
Hojo had appeared a few minutes later, her brother announcing that her boyfriend was here to see her. This cause the poor boy to blush and stutter for a bit before sighing. That was so endearing and cute, Kagome couldn’t help the few giggles that escaped her. Hojo then blushed to brown haired roots and fiddled with something in his hand. Glancing down she noted it was a sweet confection that was normally expensive in her home town. Gushing lightly in her mind, she ascended the stairs and approached him. "Hi, Hojo." She greeted, flipping her raven strands out of her brown eyes.
"Hello Kagome, how are you feeling?" He greeted, and Kagome absently wondered what disease her grandfather had cursed her with this time.
"I’m feeling great." She answered honestly before smiling a little. "I’m so glad you came over today." Kagome chirped.
"Eh, you are?" He questioned while stumbling slightly. She hid her chuckles behind her hands while gazing at him, he was just so adorable.
"Yeah, I need help with my class work." She stated. Immediately she noticed the difference in the boy as he bowed his head.
"Oh." He said softly. "Of course Kagome." Hojo agreed quietly.
"Besides, it allows me to spend time with you." Kagome said, cheering up the boy.
"Really?" He questioned. Kagome withheld another smile, he was just so cute, like a little puppy.
"Yes." She responded, and then skipped up the stairs while waiting for him. They spent a few hours going over course work before Kagome had the ideas cemented in her mind. Then they just sat and talked for awhile before Hojo announced he had to go home. "Thanks a lot Hojo." She stated while hugging him in thanks. The boy blushed, and nodded his head with a smile. He once again fiddled with the chocolate in his hands before handing it over.
"Here, this is for you." He stated. "It’s suppose help release the endorphin chemicals." Hojo added while talking to his chest. Kagome smiled at his thoughtfulness, after what girl doesn’t like to receive chocolate.
"Thanks again Hojo-kun." She said with a soft smile. Then she leaned over and gave him a quick peck on the cheeks in thanks. He muttered out a your welcome before basically dashing out on air. Kagome chuckled, and glanced down at her present, it was much more welcomed then some of his gifts. She giggled, flipping over the small confection with a smile. Then again, he was always such a sweet heart, and with that she took a small nibble off the bar. Yes, she really needed to give that boy a chance, he was so sweet to her!
