Well, I'm enjoying it, but I still don't have a lot of context. I'm working my way through the older seasons.

I wasn't a fan of Dean as a family man either. I saw that as more of Sam's dream than his.

I have no idea what's going on with Sam. I don't buy it either.

I will say the slasher in me (you all know it's there) can totally see the Dean/Cas shining through. What can I say? I have slash goggles the size of a small country. :)

I should preface my comments with the note that I was very unhappy with the previous season. I was not a fan of the focus being mostly on the Apocolypse and the whole good vs evil thing. I have been known to say that I liked it so much better when the Winchesters were just hunters looking for Boogiemen.

I'm not a fan of the Wincest, but I could get behind Dean/Castiel!

*nods* I can see the appeal of the hunters more than the Apocalypse. I haven't gotten to season 5 yet, but I've been spoiled to basically everything.

The friendship between the brothers is my favorite thing about the show so I hope they get back to that soon.

Yeah, I'm totally behind Dean/Castiel. :D I've gotten used to picking out the bits that I like in a show and overlooking the rest so when Cas admitted he and Dean share a profound bond, my week was made.

I don't think they jumped the shark

is Mischa okay? His voice is way too gravely to be healthy.
Well, I'm pretty sure he is tired. And probably occupied thinking about his family instead of Castiel,
considering little West was born recently

I was not loving Dean-as-a-family-man
I did. Just like I enjoy his struggle to combine both worlds.

yeah, not buying this
The Campbells are all shifty. I don't trust any of them.
I just wonder, why Sam is always so adament about them being family and all that. Please don't let them have again Sam trusting the wrong people. Give me a better reason Sera, please.

we have the chasm between the brothers. They have their issues and will work through their issues. If everything was always happy between them, people would complain about it being boring probably ( ... )

OMG that scene with Sam doing the pull ups was just...*gasps* - and I'm not even a fangirl!

I have been really worried about Mischa b/c his voice has been doing this raspy thing since last season, and that's usually a very bad thing. Even considering the baby. But --- Holy Shit - he's a daddy! (is this the 1st?)

Maybe I'm still trying to get back to the La-La land of the first season hunters stuff, when I didn't have to think too hard about what was going on.

Well, I AM a Jared fangirl, as some of you might have noticed,
and damn, the guy is hot. And looked mighty fine the rest of the episode as well, that blue plaid shirt looked good on him, although he can do shirtless anytime. Lucky Genevieve.

That's just his Castiel-voice. His normal voice is fine.
And he is in good shape.
Just a month ago he ran 83km (a little over 50 miles) within one day for charity.

But --- Holy Shit - he's a daddy! (is this the 1st?)
Born Sept 23rd and yes, it's the first for him and Vicky.

when I didn't have to think too hard about what was going on.Once they build the story up, they can't really well get back totally to simple hunts. I mean, how are you supposed to continue after the Apocalypse if not looking at the bigger picture. And the whole "origins"-theme they have going this year fits IMHO with what they used all ( ... )

I have to defer to your greater knowledge regarding the direction of the show. I'm merely an observer this season rather than a reviewer.

This week's episode was very blah blah blah to me. Misha's voice *was* not quite right! I noticed that too. It's like he had his batman voice on! I was really glad that Castiel was back, but angel feud? That's *so* season 5! And don't get me started on the Campbell's storyline - not enjoying it so far and unless it ties in really neatly with whatever the hell is going on with Sam, then I'll be mucho disappointed.

I'm still going to give it another few episodes before I decide how I feel about this season, but 3 in and I'm not loving it like I have previous seasons.

I feel the same way. Isn't this the final season for the show? If so, I may stick it out just to see how they end it.
